Shadow Dance Farm is a picturesque 50 acre property located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Leesburg in Historic Loudoun County, Virginia. Meet the owners: DuBose and Jay Fleming

Shadow Dance Farm is privately owned and operated by Jay and DuBose Fleming. This 50 acre horse farm is dedicated to the importing, training and breeding of outstanding dressage and event horses – born out of a 50-year dedication to develop a top quality line of performance oriented Weimaraner bird dogs.

The private facility is comprised of a 7 stall horse barn, 11 fenced paddocks, a 125 by 230 ft. outdoor lighted arena as well as 25 acres of open land.

The horse breeding program is the culmination of DuBose's lifelong dream to raise and train horses. She manages the care and training of the mares and foals at Shadow Dance Farms.

Mayo Horse Mats!

Shadow Dance Farm is also the leading national distributor for Irish made Mayo Horse Mats. These anti-fatigue, therapeutic stall mats for horses are an exceptional investment and our personal favorite. Please click here to learn more.

The Mayo Mat is a specially designed anti-fatigue horse stall mat. It was developed over 20 years ago in Ireland and is manufactured there. This internationally renowned mat is designed to protect the horse from fatigue and injury, not simply to cover the floor. The Mayo Mat is proven to prevent strains on tendons and muscles suffered from extended periods of time spent on hard surfaces.

Weimaraner breeding at Shadow Dance Farm

With over 50 years of training, competing and breeding performance Weimaraners Jay and DuBose have developed a line for bird hunting, field trialing and hunt test competition. They proudly boast the accomplishments of their foundation bitch, Isabella “Izzy”, the 2004 American Field Weimaraner National Shooting Dog Champion and, in 2007, the number two AKC All Age/Gun Dog field trial Weimaraner in the US. Her progeny are hot on her heels to success. The Flemings occasionally have puppies available. Please click here to learn more about their Weimaraners.
